Salinas councilman will face a jury in August

Salinas Councilman Jose Castaneda will face a jury on August 22.

The case surrounds three felony charges connected to an incident earlier this year with his ex-girlfriend. The charges include domestic battery and stalking. Castaneda pleaded not guilty to all three.

While the jury trial is set to begin on August 22, Castaneda is also expected to appear in court on May 3 and August 16.
