San Lorenzo River trestle bridge gets new connecting ramp

A new pedestrian and bicycle ramp will be installed by the trestle bridge over the San Lorenzo River near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 29.

As the pedestrian and bike path along the trestle bridge will be closed during some of the construction period, a detour around the project will be provided. For safety reasons, the public is advised not to walk on the train trestle track area.

Project updates will be posted at the Public Works website and Facebook page.
