Pet of the Week: Meet Kida!
Meet Kida! This 7-month old kitten came to Animal Friends Rescue Project as a friendly stray. She bravely faced an eye enucleation (removal of eye) due to an eye condition called Symblepharon.
Despite her challenging start, Kida's spirit shines bright! She's already melting hearts with her friendly demeanor and loving snuggles and purrs but she can still be a bit shy, so someone willing to go at her pace is needed! Kida is a lapcat in training!
Since she is still young, Kida would do best in a home with an adopter who is home throughout the day to continue her socialization. She would love to find a home with another playful kitten, or a cat-savvy dog but will need to introduced to any other pets in the home gradually overtime.
Kida would do best with adult adopters or with families with children over the age of six at this time.
If you're interested in adopting Kida or another pet, you can submit an adoption application at www.animalfriendsrescue.org.
You can also meet more animals from Animal Friends Pet Project at Wicks and Whiskers at 6pm on Friday May10th, you can purchase tickets at www.johnnywicks.com. There is also another event happening at The Monterey bay F.C.'s college night on Saturday, May 11th at Cardinale Stadium.
