CDC recommends wearing face masks; make your own

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION)

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control is recommending that people across the nation wear a face cover.

All unused N-95 masks should be donated to medical professionals who are working on the frontlines treating sick patients.

A face cover can be easily made at home with fabric or bandanas and elastics.

One suggestion is to use lady hair ties.

If someone in your family has a sewing machine maybe now's the time to contribute and make some for your family and friends.
