SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) Roaring Camp Railroads announced that its Santa Cruz Beach Train will be resuming service starting Friday.

The train will be leaving from either the Beach Boardwalk or Roaring Camp Friday through Sunday, and it will go through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and down the San Lorenzo River Gorge.

Roaring Camp also released its COVID-19 protocols. Guests will be asked to complete a questionnaire, and they will have to go through non-invasive screening and temperature checks if they are showing COVID-19 symptoms. Everyone will be required to wear a mask as well.

Park capacity will be limited, and entrance will be by reservation-only.

Santa Cruz County recently reopened its beaches after facing issues with enforcing closures. Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday that parking at state beaches will be closed temporarily.
