First Monterey County COVID-19 death reported
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Health Department announced the first death of a Monterey County resident from COVID-19.
The agency said the adult individual was hospitalized and had an underlying health condition.
No additional information about the person is being released at this time.
There are 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among Monterey County residents, at least 2 of which appear to have been acquired locally according to the Health Department.
