WX ALERT: Highway 1 in Big Sur closed in both directions

Highway 1 is closed from Ragged Point to Palo Colorado Road due to flash flood warnings issued for the Colorado Fire and Dolan Fire burn scars, according to Caltrans.

Heavy rain could cause debris flow from the Dolan and Colorado Fire burn scars.

Caltrans says it will: "assess conditions at first light tomorrow morning to evaluate if the highway can be re-opened."
