Cooler Sunday For Most

KION

WEATHER STORY
High pressure will rebuild heading out of the weekend and into the work week. This will lead to a net warm-up for all areas. Coastal areas will be delayed on Sunday as the marine layer stabilizes. In fact, some areas may even be cooler than Saturday. All areas will then warm up Monday and Tuesday with the hot ridge square over us. We’ll then cool down through the end of the week to more seasonable weather by Memorial Day Weekend.

AIR QUALITY: GOOD to MODERATE

Overnight:
Low clouds/fog filling in around the bay and into nearby valleys. Lows in the 40s inland, 40s-50s on the coast.

Sunday: Patchy fog in the morning, then becoming mostly sunny with a few high clouds passing through. Slightly cool on the coast with a light but chilly onshore breeze—highs in the 60s to low 70s. Inland areas can expect highs in the 70s-80s with some of our southern valleys reaching the 90s. Winds pick up for inland valleys in the afternoon.

Monday: Mostly sunny and warmer with coastal highs in the mid 60s to upper 70s and mainly 80s-90s inland. Winds pick up in the afternoon with breezy conditions on the coast and windy conditions for inland valleys.

Extended:
Tuesday will be the toastiest day of the week with upper 60s to 70s—maybe even a few low 80s for coastal cities—and widespread 80s-90s and maybe even a few spots reaching 100ºF in the south. We’ll then cool to more seasonable levels by Thursday and then stay that way through the Memorial Day Weekend.
