Police: Man With Thousands of Child Porn Images Arrested in Santa Cruz

Officers have arrested a man who they said had thousands of child pornography photos, many of which involved toddlers.

30-year-old Christopher Schuette was arrested at his home on the 500 block Carbonera Drive Monday.

According to police, they received several cybertips about suspicious internet activity. Investigators were able to pin down Schuette using sophisticated software.

Officers were able to get a search warrant for Schuette’s home, where they said they found multiple USB drives with thousands of images depicting child pornography.

Detectives on the case said that Schuette was uploading child porn images on the internet.

At this time the investigation is still ongoing and police are looking into Schuette’s employment history to see if he had any contact with children.
