Cool & Damp
The area of low pressure that has
produced rain across the region for the past several days will finally move out
as we head into tomorrow. Lingering instability will allow for additional
showers to form on Wednesday. The next storm system will slide down the coast,
but then stall offshore far enough that it won’t send any precip our way until
the weekend. Latest timing looks like Sunday may be the first chance of rain.
Once is does get close enough, it will likely lead to several days of rain or
at least showers. We’ll warm up a bit for the end of the week, but then
temperatures will head back down below normal once the next system arrives.
Overnight:
Partly cloudy with an isolated
shower possible. Snow levels around 2,500ft. Patchy fog for valley bottoms.
Chilly, with lows in the 30s-40s.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy with showers developing over the hills in the
afternoon. Small hail possible with showers and snow levels around 3,000ft. Cool,
with highs in the 50s. Breezy at times on the coast in the afternoon.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with an
isolated shower possible over the hills. Otherwise, cool, but a touch warmer
with highs in the 50s to low 60s.
Extended: Expect dryer, warmer conditions Friday & Saturday
with highs returning close to normal for this time of year. Rain chances return
Sunday with showers possible into early next week. High temperatures will
likely fall back down in to the 50s.
The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for March 25th-31st calls for
the likelihood of BELOW temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.
