Offshore Winds: Warm Days, Cool Nights

High pressure will be the main influence on our weather in the coming days, keeping high temperatures above normal. Offshore winds overnight will slowly turn back onshore into the day on Tuesday as a weak weather system passes overhead. Besides the wind shift, only a few extra clouds are expected. Another weather system will slip past the high and sneak in to our south on Friday. It is possible that system could throw some moisture our way in the form of an isolated shower or two—perhaps even a thunderstorm. Stay tuned!

Overnight:
Scattered high clouds passing through, but no low clouds expected. Expect coastal lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s with low 30s to low 40s inland. Breezy at times over the hills.

Tuesday: Passing high clouds will decrease late in the day. However, some thin low clouds possible on the outer coast late in the day. A bit cooler, but still mild with coastal highs in the low to mid 60s  and 60s to low 70s inland.

Wednesday: A few low clouds on the outer coast, otherwise occasional passing high clouds. Coastal highs in the low to mid 60s with 60s to low 70s inland.

Extended: Dry and mild conditions continue on Thursday under partly cloudy skies. We’ll see a chance of an isolated shower or thundershower on Friday, but most areas will stay dry. Dry, mild conditions continue through the weekend.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for February 25th – March 2nd calls for the likelihood of BELOW normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
