Warming Up, Mostly Sunny, Remaining Gusty
Make sure to have those sunglasses, and hair ties, handy. Spring weather is in full effect with mostly sunny skies expected for the majority of the week. However, gusty north-northwest flow will stick around through the work week. Winds will pick up each afternoon, becoming gusty. The overall air mass will slowly warm, so you can expect a mild start to the week and above normal temperatures by mid-week—think widespread 60s-70s with a few inland areas reaching the low 80s eventually. But, don't put that umbrella away, the ridge breaks down this weekend with rain chances returning.

…for the near coastal waters from Point Pinos south to Point Piedras Blancas extended until 3AM Tuesday.
*Northwest winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 8 to 10 ft.
*Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe conditions.
Monday: Mostly sunny and seasonable. Highs in the upper 50s to low 70s on the coast—warmest on the north side of the bay--and upper 60s to upper 70s inland. Gusty northwesterly onshore winds throughout the day.
Overnight: Overall, mostly clear skies. Patchy low clouds will return around sunset, around the southern and eastern portion of the Monterey Bay and near coastal cities. Clouds will stick around into sunrise. Lows will be slightly cooler, with widespread 40s, with a few upper 30s inland. Patchy fog possible for low, damp locations. Breezy at times.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny and seasonable. Highs in the upper 50s to low 70s on the coast—warmest on the north side of the bay--and upper 60s to around 80ºF inland. Gusty northwesterly onshore winds throughout the day and continuing into the night.
Extended: Expect a slightly warmer but still windy day on Wednesday! Winds will then ease a bit on Thursday and temperatures will continue to head upward. Thursday will likely be the warmest day of the week for all but a few areas. High pressure breaks down into the weekend and it is looking more and more likely that a weather system will bring rain to the region in the Saturday/Sunday time-frame.
