Nicer & Warmer Thursday
Dry conditions return to the region for the next few days as high pressure nudges in from the south. Expect a nice warm-up! It will also block a storm system barreling in from the northwest and keep it out to sea for a few days. The system, or at least some of its moisture, will be drawn into the area by Sunday as a cold system sneaks down the coast from the north. This may be enough to get some showers going Sunday and Monday. We’ll see chilly, windy conditions as the northern system arrives with a cool, wet start to next week.
AIR QUALITY: Good
Thursday: Mostly sunny with a mix of high clouds and some afternoon cumulus over the hills. Seasonable with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
Overnight: Mostly clear overnight, but high clouds will be on the increase. Patchy fog by dawn. Lows will be in the 40s across the region with a few mid to upper 30s in sheltered valleys.
Friday: Scattered high clouds, but warmer with widespread 60s to low70s.
Extended: We’ll probably warm a degree or two on Saturday before cooling back down with a chance of showers Sunday. Winds pick up into Monday as a system moves in from the north. We’ll also see additional rain chances. A colder air mass will settle in for the early part of next week and we may have to watch for inland valley frost.
