Mostly Dry For The Next Week
Dry conditions return to the region for the next few days as high pressure nudges in from the south. Expect a nice warm-up! It will also block a storm system barreling in from the northwest and keep it out to sea for a few days. The system, or at least some of its moisture, will be drawn into the area by Sunday as a cold system sneaks down the coast from the north. This may be enough to get some showers going Sunday and Monday. We’ll see chilly, windy conditions as the northern system arrives with a cool start to next week.
AIR QUALITY: Good
Overnight: Patchy low clouds and fog for the valleys with some thin high clouds moving through. Lows in the 40s for most areas with a few 30s in southern valleys.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with a mix of high clouds and some afternoon cumulus over the hills. Seasonable with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
Friday: Scattered high clouds, but warmer with widespread 60s to low70s.
Extended: We’ll probably warm a degree or two on Saturday before cooling back down with a chance of showers Sunday. Winds pick up into Monday as a system moves in from the north. We’ll also see additional rain chances. A colder air mass will settle in for the early part of next week and we may have to watch for inland valley frost.
