A Few More Showers Possible
The cold core of the storm system that brought rain to the region Sunday & Monday will pass over on Tuesday morning. This will likely generate a few additional showers on the coast in the morning and perhaps over the hills in the afternoon. In the wake of the system, expect slightly cool weather through Wednesday, then warmer, more seasonable weather by Thursday. A weak weather system will miss us to the north on Friday, but may cool us down a couple of degrees. High pressure will then push in from the west this weekend, sending temps back upward.
Overnight: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers possible, especially along the coast between around 3AM and dawn. Some showers may have brief downpours and a rumble of thunder is possible. Expect coastal lows in the upper 40s to low 50s with mainly 40s inland.
Tuesday: Becoming partly cloudy with an isolated shower possible, mainly over the hills. A bit cool and breezy with highs in the 60s for most areas and low 70s for inland valleys.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy and a bit warmer with coastal highs in the 60s to around 70ºF and mainly 70s inland. Breezy at times on the coast and in the inland valleys.
Extended: The warming trend will continue through Thursday under mostly sunny skies, then we’ll cool a bit on Friday as a weather system passes by to our north. We’ll warm back up for the weekend, however with highs expected to be at or above normal through Memorial Day.
