Slightly Cooler
High pressure drifts east this weekend, allowing for cooler, deeper onshore flow. High temperatures will remain warm for this time of year, however. Another ridge will strengthen to our west and build in early next week bringing similar warm to what we’ve seen at the end of this current week! It will also move east as we head past mid-week, however, leading to cooler weather by the end of the week.
Overnight: Mostly clear with a few low clouds/fog possible on the coast. Lows in the upper 40s to low 50s on the coast and inland valleys, upper 50s in the hills.
Saturday: Temperatures will be just a bit cooler on Saturday as high pressure shifts to the east. Some low cloudcover possible at times on the south side of the bay, otherwise expect mostly sunny skies. Expect coastal highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s with 80s inland. Breezy at times in the afternoon.
Sunday: Expect further cooling on Sunday with morning/evening low clouds on the coast. We’ll see highs in the 60s to low 70s on the coast with mid-70s to mid-80s inland. Breezy for inland valleys in the afternoon and then up in the hills late.
Extended: Next week, expect a lot of sunshine with only occasional low clouds on the coast. High temperatures will head back upward through Tuesday, roughly 10-15ºF above normal, then slide down through the end of the week. No rain expected in the next 7 days.
The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for May 2nd-8th calls for the likelihood of ABOVE normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
