A Few Cold, Showery Days Before We Warm Up
Unsettled weather will continue in the coming days due to a
trough of low pressure on the West Coast. This will keep the shower machine
running into Thursday, especially over the ocean. Daytime heating will also
help generate showers over land during the afternoons. We’ll remain in the cool
air mass into the weekend and one final weather system will glance by to the
north Saturday afternoon. We’re watching this system for rain possibilities,
but afterward, high pressure will build back in with warm, dry conditions
expected into early next week.
Overnight: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows in the 40s.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Cool
and breezy with highs in the 50s. Breezy northwesterly winds at times.
Thursday: Showers on the coast in
the morning, then partly cloudy with scattered showers over the hills in the
afternoon. Gusty northwest winds at times. Cool, with highs in the 50s to
around 60ºF.
Extended: Mostly sunny, but a bit cool on Friday with highs in the
upper 50s to low 60s. Some warming on Saturday under partly cloudy skies. There
will be a slight chance of showers. Much warmer Sunday into Tuesday with highs
in the 60s to low 70s.
The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for April 1st-7th
calls for the likelihood of BELOW
temperatures and near normal precipitation.
