Quiet & Cool

Temps will stay at or below average this week with a slight bump for Tuesday into Wednesday. The onshore flow and marine layer keeping the coastal communities cloudy through late morning and cool while inland areas see plenty of sun with temps also dropping. Another system in the Pacific Northwest will arrive for the weekend reinforcing cooler air and coastal clouds. Tune in for your local forecast.

The Perseids meteor shower peaks tonight with best viewing away from the coast after midnight. It's possible to see 50-100 meteors an hour! Be away from city lights and look to the northeast sky.

AIR QUALITY: Good to Moderate

Overnight: Partly cloudy with fog/drizzle at coast and in valleys. Clear inland. Lows in the low to upper 50s mainly.

Tuesday: AM clouds/fog possible then mostly sunny both coastal and inland. Temps will be seasonal with 60s at coast and 70s and 80s inland with a few 90s in far south.

Wednesday: AM clouds then sunny skies with temps in mid 60s at coast and 70s to low 90s inland. WNW winds gusty at coast and in valleys.

Extended: Not much change with quiet and dry conditions rest of the week. A stronger system will arrive for the weekend and will reinforce cooler temps with deeper marine layer and gusty winds.
