Watching Tropical Moisture

Temps will trend downward Sunday with a few more clouds around heading into Monday as moisture moves up from the south. Pleasant at the coast but still warm inland with some areas like Parkfield in the upper 90s. Slight chance of convection, with main threat dry lightning, in the southern areas of San Benito and Monterey counties Sunday into Monday. Next week will be fairly quiet and seasonal with comfy temps at coast and warm inland through mid week.

AIR QUALITY: Good to Moderate

Sunday: Becoming partly cloudy on the coast with clouds favoring the south/east sides of the bay. Highs in the 60s-70s. Inland areas will be mostly sunny with some mid to high level cloudcover encroaching from the south. Highs range from the mid 70s in the near coastal valleys up to 100ºF farther inland. There is a slight chance of a (mostly) dry thunderstorm across the south as tropical moisture drifts in. Expect breezy west-northwesterly onshore winds pushing up-valleys into the late afternoon.

Monday: AM clouds then sunny skies with temps in the low to mid 60s coastal and mainly 70s and 80s inland.

Extended: Staying mild through mid week with a possible cool down late next week with some troughing occurring.
