Heating Up Monday

Warming trend peaks Monday with temps well above average especially for inland areas. Temps could very well reach upper 70s inland! Our weather pattern is providing a stretch of very pleasant weather through mid week. Unsettled weather arrives by Friday as our weather pattern changes. Next weekend brings rain chances and much cooler temps. so we'll be below average with our high temps! On a good note, say hello to spring Tuesday, the official start to the new season!

AIR QUALITY: Good

Overnight: Patchy dense fog possible for the morning commute. Visibility could be less than a mile in spots. Use caution. Low clouds at the coast possible and patchy fog in the hills and valleys with lows mainly in the mid to upper 40s.

Monday: Partly sunny then becoming mostly sunny and mild in the afternoon with highs soaring into the upper 60s to upper 70s inland. A couple spots in the southern Salinas valley could reach 80 degrees, definitely not out of the question. Breezy especially in the valleys. Coastal clouds and patchy fog at night.

Tuesday: More sunshine but temps slightly cooler although still above average. Highs in the low to mid 60s coastal to low 70s inland. NW winds.

Extended
: This stretch of dry weather continues until midweek then temps will be on the decline, getting back to normal for this time of the year. Tuesday is the first day of spring and will be sunny and mild. Rain chances increase by end of the week into the weekend. Looks to be light beneficial rain at this point in time but chilly and damp!
