Mother’s Day Forecast

Mother’s Day forecast: Somewhat cooler with a southwest wind for Sunday afternoon, after early clouds and dense fog along coast and inland valleys. Still plenty of sunshine!

Inland won’t be quite as hot as Saturday. Some interior locations, like Bradley, hit 96 degrees. Few more clouds around the coast Sunday as well.

Sunday: More sunshine but cooler with a southwest wind. Coastal highs will be in the upper 60s with mid 70s to mid 80s inland. Gusty onshore winds at times.

Extended: An upper level Low pressure system moving out of the Great Basin will track northward but looks like any rain chances will stay out of the central coast region. A dry pattern will persist next week with very warm temps also.

-The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for May 17th – 23rd calls for the likelihood of ABOVE normal temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.

- El Niño/La Niña STATUS: 
El Niño Watch
- Forecast: Neutral through the end of spring with El Niño developing this summer.
-Area drought status: Currently drought-free
