Cool & Showery Tuesday
An area of low pressure off the West Coast is slowly sliding south along the coast, producing scattered showers, and at higher elevations, some snow.
Temperatures Tuesday will remain cool, mostly in the mid and upper 50s.
The system will move inland Tuesday into Wednesday. Another weather system
will follow, dropping south from the Gulf of Alaska, bringing more unsettled
weather as we head into the weekend.
Tuesday: Showers taper off by mid-morning with partly
cloudy skies expected. The atmosphere will destabilize during the afternoon
with showers popping up over the hills once again. Those showers could then
drift over valleys with small hail. Snow once again possible above 2,500ft.
Highs in the 50s, with 40s in the higher elevations. Occasionally breezy.
Overnight: Small hail possible in showers. Snow possible above 2,500ft in elevation..
Wednesday: Chilly in the morning. Then, partly cloudy skies with isolated showers possible mainly over the hills. Highs in the 50s.
Extended: Conditions dry out on Thursday with slightly warmer temperatures. Southerly winds pick up late as a weather system approaches from the north. Rain returns Saturday with showers likely lasting into early next week. Chilly temperatures continue.
The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for March 24th-30th calls for the likelihood of BELOW temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.
