Forward progress stops on vegetation fire in San Benito County, firefighters says

SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- UPDATE ON MAY 8, 2024 AT 2:54 PM: CAL FIRE BEU says they successfully held a brush fire in San Benito County at three acres.

A CAL FIRE captain told KION that the fire took place near Old Hernandez Road.

CAL FIRE said that firefighters will remain at the scene for the next few hours mopping up hot spots.
