Hollister School District announcing multiple changes for school enrollment

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV)- On Friday, The Hollister School District announced multiple changes that will affect where students enroll this upcoming school year.

District officials said that Sunnyslope and Cerra Vista Schools will each become transitional kinder to fifth grade schools beginning in Fall 2024.

The district says this is to balance school populations and address enrollment increases due to new housing projects within the city.

Middle school students who were attending Sunnyslope will be transferred Maze Middle School.

Students who are in the sixth through eighth grade will be transferred to Maze or Ranch San Justo Middle School.

The Accelerated Achievement Academy will also be phasing out one class per grade level.
