MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A 33-year-old Modesto man is arrested on multiple charges, including peeping and attempted burglary, for allegedly looking into the windows of occupied hotel rooms on multiple occasions.

Monterey Police said the suspect, identified as Michael Clark, was caught looking into the second floor window of a hotel on September 13, 2023. A female in the case called police and reported the incident that day.

Police said they received similar reports at multiple hotel locations around the 1300 block of Munras Avenue on January 29, 2024 as well as January 31 and March 18.

In the January 31 incident, investigators said Clark was allegedly masturbating outside of her hotel window.

Police said back on January 29, the suspect tried to enter some of the rooms, but all were unoccupied.

Investigators said they were able to catch the suspect while conducting surveillance on a hotel on March 19.

Police said Clark is facing two counts of attempted burglary, five counts of trespassing and six counts of peeping.

The suspect's bail is set at $500,000.
