Man cited by police after illegally dumping a 100 pound gnome

DEL REY OAKS, Calif. (KION-TV)- Last week, the Del Rey Oaks Police Department cited a Seaside man after he allegedly dumped a 100 pound gnome on South Boundary Road.

Officers said the man installed a new fence at his residence and decided to dump his old fence on South Boundary Road.

When officers got to the scene, the man also abandoned an 100 lb garden Gnome on South Boundary Road

Police said the suspect was cited and a report was referred to the Monterey County District Attorney's Office for filing.

According to the Penal Code, the suspect could be fined up to $10,000 for illegally dumping
