The Exit Interview: Salinas Police Chief Roberto Filice says goodbye to Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- Salinas Police Chief Roberto Filice officially left his position on January 21 to become the Assistant General Manager of Public Safety and Police Chief for the East Bay Regional Park District.

Filice served as the Salinas Police chief since 2021 but was with the department since 2017.

In our first part of our two-part interview, Filice shared about how difficult a decision it was for him to leave the department plus the challenges he faced during his time as chief.

He also shares his message for the community and his message to the Salinas City Council.
