Gilroy Police looking for two suspects involved in non-injury shooting on Monday morning

GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV)- Gilroy Police are looking for two suspects who were involved in a non-injury shooting on Monday morning.

Investigators said the shooting took place around 11:40 a.m. on the 2100 block of Periwinkle Drive.

Police said the suspects had already fled the scene. Investigators said that two suspects entered the residence and were confronted by the people who live there.

Investigators said that a struggle took place between the people who live there and the two suspects. Police said at least one round was fired but nobody was injured as a result of the shooting.

Police said that one person was injured during the struggle and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Gilroy Police said that the suspects were last seen fleeing in a light-colored SUV.
