GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION-TV)- A man was arrested Thursday in connection with two homicides in 2020 and attempted homicide in 2021.

Johnathan Rojas,19, is a suspect in the murder of Nicolas Gasca who was killed in his apartment complex parking lot on September 1 of 2020 on the 200 block of 13th St.

Rojas was arrested in Salinas and booked into Monterey County Jail with a bail of $2,060,000.

The Monterey District Attorney's Office told KION that because the murders took place when Rojas was a minor he has to go through the juvenile court system with the potential of being tried as an adult for the severity of his charges.

He is being charged with murder, attempted murder and two counts of participating in a criminal street gang.
