Thousands without power in Seaside, Sand City, Monterey after unplanned outage reported by PG&E

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A large portion of Seaside and parts of Monterey and Sand City are without power Monday night after an outage was reported around 5:28 pm.

PG&E says power is expected to be restored around 8 p.m.

So far the outage is impacting more than 6,000 customers.

The majority of which are out of the Seaside area.
