USGS: 3.4 magnitude earthquake hits near Morgan Hill

SAN MARTIN, Calif. (KION-TV) Friday afternoon at 12:35 p.m., an earthquake registering 3.4 shook near Morgan Hill.

The quake's epicenter was 6 miles ENE of San Martin, with a depth of 4.3 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

There have been reports of people feeling the quake as far north as San Jose and as far south as Santa Cruz and Gilroy, according to the USGS.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries as expected with a magnitude that low.
