Thousands without power in the Rio Del Mar area, downed tree to blame, utility says
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- At least 1,500 PG&E customers are still without power in the Rio Del Mar area, according to PG&E. The utility telling KION that 8,000 customers were initially impacted.
The cause of the outage was a downed tree into power lines, according to PG&E. It happened around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Power is expected to be restored in the area by 3:00 p.m. today.
