MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) Old Fisherman's Wharf is celebrating Easter Sunday with a visit from the Easter Bunny and treats.

The Easter Bunny will be roaming around the wharf from 12-6 p.m. Sunday. Families can take socially distanced photos.

Families and tourists flocked to Old Fisherman's Wharf for Easter Sunday. The beautiful weather made strolls along the water and visits with the Easter Bunny more special.

One family says they drove all the way from Modesto to come out to the peninsula.

"We decided to come to Monterey for a late birthday celebration, so it's kinda like get out of compliance of COVID in our area and be able to spend some time with the family, a change of scenery," says the mother.

"We're celebrating Easter, this is the best way. No family gatherings, no barbeques, no nothing, staying safe, staying away from people," says local.

This weekend was special for the Lee Family for another reason, the celebration of their daughter's birthday.

"My baby's birthday. She's turning six, can't complain. It's beautiful, special day," says the father.
