MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Health Department announced two pop-up COVID-19 testing sites in the county.

The first pop-up site will be at the Marina Library on Thursday, December 10th from 2 to 6 p.m.

The second site will be at Hartnell's STEM Research Center on 411 Central Avenue in Salinas. This will be on Tuesday, December 15th from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday, December 16th from 2 to 6 p.m.

The testing sites are free and patients do not need to show symptoms to be tested. The health department said testing will not affect the patient's immigration status, and they do not need a doctor's note or health insurance.
