Santa Cruz Pastor giving away hundreds of Christmas trees to “bless the community” amid pandemic

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION)--A Pastor at Santa Cruz Baptist Church is really spreading the joy this holiday season.

Drew Cunningham took to Facebook to announce he drove to Oregon to pick up 500 Christmas trees for those in need.

If you are in need, the church will be giving the trees away Friday night from 5-9 p.m and Saturday from 10 a.m-3 p.m at 7565 Sunset Way in Aptos.

"We just want to bless our community in the name of Jesus and we just think this is the kind of thing he'd be doing if he were around today," says Cunningham.
