Body found by West Cliff Drive identified as UCSC student

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) - Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office has confirmed the identity of the body found ashore on It's Beach last Friday.

According to SCSO, the victim was identified as a 21-year-old Noah Lee Kim of Los Angeles. Kim was a UC Santa Cruz student.

The news comes after two people were seen jumping into the ocean from West Cliff Drive on May 4. While one person was saved, another was declared missing.

Body found in Santa Cruz near It's Beach

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) - A body was found on It's Beach earlier this afternoon in Santa Cruz.

Around 2:13 p.m., the body was found washed ashore on It's Beach near West Cliff Drive.

The identity of the body is pending identification by the Santa Cruz Police Department's Coroner.

This is a developing story.
