Santa Cruz County correctional officer arrested for alleged sexual activity with inmate

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) A Correctional Officer with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office for her alleged relationship with an inmate.

The Sheriff's Office said the officer, 35-year-old Jenna Baldwin, was arrested Sunday and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on sexual activity with an inmate, assault by a public officer and bringing contraband to a detention facility.

The investigation began in May when detectives got information that Baldwin had an inappropriate relationship with one of the inmates at the Santa Cruz County Jail.

Baldwin has worked for the Sheriff's Office since 2008, but the Sheriff's Office said she is no longer employed there.
