Abandoned dog found in ditch on Old Stage Road
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The SPCA is looking for information about whoever abandoned a dog on Old Stage Road near Alisal Road this week.
On Wednesday, humane officers responded to a report of an abandoned dog in that area, and when they arrived, they found a 9-month-old German Sheperd mix in a ditch lying under a broken plastic dog crate.
Officers said they believe she was left there Tuesday night.
The dog, who the SPCA named Sunflower, was given water and some food before being taken to the SPCA for care.
