San Jose school district says woman who allegedly coughed on baby may be district employee

UPDATE 6/25/2020 12:15 p.m. The Oak Grove School District said a woman accused of coughing on a baby may be one of the district's employees.

The woman was caught on camera at a Yogurtland in San Jose appearing to cough on a baby after police said she became upset that the woman with the baby was not maintaining social distance.

Police say the woman then removed her face covering, got close to the baby's face and coughed two or three times. After that, she left the area.

The school district said it has been in contact with police while they investigate the incident and work to confirm her identity.

"The District has been directed by SJPD not to take any action in this matter while the SJPD investigation is pending. We have been in regular contact with SJPD and have offered the full support and cooperation of the District in their investigation. We have also informed SJPD that a PROMPT investigation into this matter is critical so that the District can take all action available to it in addressing this incident if it does turn out to involve a District employee," the district said in a statement.

The district said the woman has been identified as a person of interest and is currently not working. They did not identify the woman.

As a result of the potential connection, the district said it has received threats of violence and damage to the schools, but remind the community that those actions would be harmful to the student population.

    1. She might not be white, but she is not right. If that had been me with my baby and the offender was a white guy, I probably would have knocked him out…on the spot. But if he or she is in any protected category, then I call the cops and let them deal with it.

So what’s up SoylentGreen1? It’s been years since you replied to my post. You pissed at me? Although with the new boards we can have replies but never see them because the comments and the articles become invisible after just five comments and five new articles.

      1. When it comes to racism….we are ALL white. Like that Karen in the park in Hawthorne. She was white…till they identified her as hispanic. Anyways. What up Frankie?

  1. So cite all of them. The idiots not keeping their distance, and the idiot that coughed on the baby.

And just FYI, I am done for, if I catch the Virus, so even if you have a baby with you, I might turn to you and tell you to back away and give me my six feet.
Six feet away, or six feet under. What’s it gonna be Merv?
But attempting to potentially infect a baby…..that might require a bit of time in an institution that specializes in these kind of conditions.
