Sheriff’s Office: Guns, drugs found during search on Acosta Street

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A man, who investigators said is a gang member, was arrested Thursday morning after the Monterey County Sheriff's Office and the SWAT team served a search warrant in the 1100 block of Acosta Street.

The Marijuana Enforcement Team had been investigating 19-year-old Jose Rosas, and during the investigation, they found that Rosas had illegal drugs and guns. During the search, investigators said they found cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and a gun.

Rosas was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail. He is facing several gun, drug and gang-related charges.
