Animal control searching for dog accused of biting girl on Santa Cruz levee

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) Animal Control in Santa Cruz County is looking for a dog that reportedly bit a girl on the Santa Cruz levee.

On Dec. 30, a woman was running there while her young daughter rode a scooter next to her, and a man rode by on a bike with his dog on a leash. The woman said the dog jumped up and bit her daughter on her left arm.

Police and Animal Control responded, but they could not find the man or his dog. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter released a photo of the man and dog suspected in the incident that was taken as they rode by.

Anyone with information is asked to call Animal Control at 831-454-7226.
