King City man arrested after investigation into claims of inappropriately touching children
After a year-long investigation, King City police arrested a man accused of inappropriately touching a child over the course of two years.
Police said that on July 17, 2018, a 24-year-old woman reported that she had been sexually abused by 41-year-old Daniel Macias Victoria to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. She told deputies that he had abused her at a home on the 600 block of Bishop Street in King City between the years 2000 and 2002.
Deputies in San Diego County forwarded the case to King City police. During the investigation, officers said they found that the victim had been inappropriately touched by Victoria when she was a small child over the course of two years.
A second 24-year-old woman came forward too. She said she had been inappropriately touched by Victoria in 2005, and a third 22-year-old woman said she was inappropriately touched during the same time period as the first victim.
Police investigated the case for 12 months and arrested Victoria on Tuesday at his Salinas home. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail and charged with lewd acts with a child under 14 years of age and continuous lewd acts with a child under 14 years of age.
