Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park to re-open Saturday

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is expected to re-open to the public this Saturday, according to California State Parks.

The park has been closed for nearly a year, after the Soberanes Fire and winter storms caused damage.

Visitors will be able to use the campground and utilize four all-day parking lots. Several trails will be open including the Liewald Flat Trail, Nature Trail, Redwood Deck, River Path and Warden’s Path.

The state parks system will also launch a new shuttle service from the Andrew Molera State Park parking lot to drop people off at various locations north of the closed Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge.
