Highway 17 lane closures during overnight reinforcement work

Tuesday night, drivers heading northbound on Highway 17 will continue seeing a traffic switch onto southbound lanes to allow travel in both directions overnight.

Caltrans said northbound lanes will be closed from Glenwood Dr. to Sugarloaf Rd. until Friday, March 3 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Crews said the closure is necessary to continue reinforcement work on the highway, which started last Friday night.

Traffic escorts will be on hand and electronic message boards will notify drivers of the roadwork.

Drivers can expect delays of 30 minutes, according to Caltrans.
