Monterey Police hiring Police Officer Trainees
If you’re interested in becoming a Police Officer Trainee for the Monterey Police Department, now is the time to apply. Trainees will attend the POST Basic Police Academy.
The department is currently accepting applications for the position, which is a non-sworn, entry-level training position. Candidates will be paid $34.93 an hour during the Academy.
Employees will only be promoted to Police Officer status upon completion of the Academy and hiring. Salaries for officers are about $82,000 a year with full benefits.
