Watsonville police investigate attempted homicide, carjacking
Watsonville police are investigating an attempted homicide and carjacking that happened Friday evening.
According to investigators, a man outside of his home on the 100 block of Carey Avenue was shot at by a suspect stealing his car around 9 p.m.
The victim was taken to a hospital with a graze wound to his head, but has been released.
Police described the suspect as a thin built Hispanic male wearing dark clothing and a white mask.
The stolen vehicle, a four-door red 2002 Ford Focus, is still missing.
Police don’t believe this incident is gang-related.
