Telemundo 23 Account Executive

The Sales Department of KMUV TV in Monterey-Salinas on the Central Coast of California, has an immediate opening for an Account Executive.

KMUV-TV Account Executives are responsible for generating revenue from the
sale of television air time to local advertisers for Telemundo through cold calls and an active list of customers and prospects.

Responsibilities include knowledge and preparation of station advertising rates, current programming, Nielsen, market competition, community involvement and the organization of this information into oral and written presentation form for the client sell; the timely completion of internal paperwork including weekly sales planners and any other reports requested by the Local Sales Manager; and, attending sales meetings as called by the Local Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements are 40 hours a week, 8 am – 5 pm. Candidate must be
a self-starter, possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude, strong
written and oral communication skills, organizational and time management
skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Prior broadcast sales
experience preferred. A car in working order, car insurance, and a valid
driver’s license required. Spanish is a plus. The candidate must pass a drug test and a
background check.
