Castroville feeds 1000+ Thanksgiving Meals

The line for the 23 rd annual Castroville Thanksgiving Feast formed well before it started.

The North Monterey County League of United Latin American Citizens hosted the event inside the Castroville Community Center.

They fed an estimated 1,300 families and seniors mounds of turkey with all the fixings.

“We do it number one because its good for the soul,” said North Monterey County League of United Latin American Citizens president Diana Jimenez. “Number 2 we’re here to serve our community and all of us can do our part and we just think it’s the right thing to do.”

Everyone got to take home a box full of fresh veggies along with reading and coloring books for kids.
