Two men arrested and accused of armed robbery at Papa Chevo’s in Seaside

Two men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery at Papa Chevo’s Restaurant in Seaside on June 14, according to police.

Officers said Steven Gary Shortt was arrested July 10 for the incident and Jack Vinson Perry was arrested July 14 after an investigation into the case.

Officers said the suspect car, a maroon colored Dodge Durango, was pulled over in the 1700 block of Noche Buena St. July 15, where Perry was seen trying to hide behind a small infant in a car seat.

Shortt and Perry were both taken to the Monterey County Jail.
