Coats for Kids drive in Santa Cruz County
Classic Vapor Cleaners wants your gently used coats!
The dry cleaning company has been on a mission each year to collect and donate coats for kids who may not have something warm to wear for the winter months.
Pamela Whittington, owner of Classic Vapor Cleaners, started Coats for Kids 8 years ago and remembers the kindness she received as a child.
“Salvation Army brought me a coat, and it was the world to me. It validated that I was on Santa’s good girl list. I wore it, covered everything up that was going on underneath. It became the most important item to me,” said Whittington.
You can help Coats for Kids reach its goal of 10,000 coats by Dec. 15 by dropping off a gently used coat at the following locations:
